Corporate Overview

EXCITE Corporation is the not-for-profit business development unit of the town of Grand Falls-Windsor. It works to attract new business, investment and talent to the area by promoting the competitive advantages of the town locally and to the world.

EXCITE’s economic strategy dovetails with the Government of Newfoundland Labrador’s Innovation Plan and its four strategic directions:
  • Fostering a culture of innovation that encourages new ideas and collaboration among industry, labour, government, educational institutions and other stakeholders for the town of Grand Falls-Windsor.
  • Positioning Grand Falls-Windsor as a competitive economy with recognized international strengths and advantages.
  • Broadening education and skills development, and aligning them with the future economic direction and labour market development needs of the region.
  • Supporting enhanced Research & Development capacity, and improving financing and investment tools to facilitate commercialization.
The EXCITE Corporation’s mission supports the Economic Pillar of the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor’s Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP).
